$33s: Finish distribution?

At my current, early intermediate level, playing sets of three, my initial, conservative aim is to achieve two third place cashes.

When you experienced lads review your finish distribution, first through fifth, what do you hope to see? (Aside from the obvious: all firsts!)

Do you like to see a straight line, indicating possibly steadily competitive play over time?

Or are you looking for a leak(s) or a style adjustment when your third to fifth distribution is roughly equal?

Or are you unhappy with your style of play if your graph doesn't trend upward from third to first.

Or do you reckon you've hit the sweet spot when your first and seconds are roughly equal?

Or could you give toss about distribution as a measure of success and style, in favor of pure ROI and $ per hour (particularly as many of you are playing many more tables per set).

I try to weight heavily towards 1sts.
I heard somewhere that the best players finish first and 6th, the most often (in 10 handed)... likely b/c they start making their moves at a time when failing lands them 6th, and then they take a big stack and wield it into first by abusing the bubble dynamic.
Seems to make sense, and is what i try to attain
