Big jump for Everest yesterday... anyone know if they were running some kind of promo?

[/ QUOTE ]

Hi Sniper,
Pokersitescout has made a correction to their Everest player counts. We had no 'special' promotion running yesterday, the jump is more a general reflection of our growth and the new counts that The Scout has implemented for us.

Cheers,
Everest Poker

Everest, thanks for the info... it is good to see that some sites are working with Scout to get more accurate data...

Maybe, I should buy some GIGM stock

Please do. I have actually put a little over two thirds of my poker profit in the stock (entry at 10.40 though and have also lost because of the stronger Norwegian krone against the dollar), but I am a big believer in the company and sit tight on 3,300 shares.

Their Q3 numbers from poker showed 40% growth vs the Q2 numbers, and before the Pokerscout #players revision my spreadsheet showed a Q4 vs Q3 growth in peak #players at 46.5%. Now, after the update, it seems we will end up with a poker growth at between 50 and 60% (hard to estimate due to both different growth at peak players and average players and because of the missing numbers from the end of Q4 when pokersitescout showed around 3000 players every day).

BTW, Everest had 4046 players at peak tonight.

Sorry about the delayed updates, the 2+2 server issues kinda threw my routine out of whack
