Problem with LCD TV as monitor
I recently bought a 32" LCD tv to use as a replacement monitor, hopefully to get 4 of these old bastards off my desk.
Anyway, fooling around with settings (using multi-res and windows display properties) and 1280 x 720 fits on the screen, but the monitor should do better resolution, and everything looks kinda poor, especially type. However, if I set my monitor to 1280 x 768 or 1360 x 768 everything looks great, EXCEPT the screen is off of the television by 2 inches to the left, so I cannot access my icons on the far side, and on the right side there is a large black bar. Any ideas, or places to go for an idea? |

If not, adjust your xf86.conf lol....okay, windows box...I believe there is an excellent windows monitor timing utility, I forget what it's called tho. Someone should chime in. I forget who mentioned it in the past...Dementia? Goldtoes? Freakin? What was that uberl33t windows display driver tweaker? |
