Default The longest B&M session you have had.

Ive been reading sooo darn much strategy and theory I thought I'd make a fun post.

When I was new to the game, a few years back, I once played at the Bycicle in L.A. for 26 straight hours. (I played 3/6 Limit and then dropped down to 2/4 after I got pretty far ahead and just played and played. 60 bucks initial buy in, ate 3 meals, all at the table and met some intresting folks. I still remember the fella that came in the next day and said, "Your still here"?

I left the casino +10 dollars, filled up my gas tank with it and drove back to Ventura County. That drive was not smart, or fun as I probably fell partialy asleep at the wheel at least once.

I loved every minute of it, and I still venture to the bike every once in a blue moon. (The 3/6 game has become much tougher recently though, thank god people can drink alcohol there.)

Whats the longest live session you have ever had?

I played at for 30 hours once in Vegas right before the trip home. I was in a haze going to the airport and do not remember how I got there. I fell asleep on the plane before we even taxied and woke up on the ground in New Jersey (EWR). The last 14 hours of play was at the same table @ Binions playing 2/4. I left up $6. The only reason I even stayed was #1 I had taken a room at the Golden Gate hotel at the corner of Freemont Street - not to be confused with the Golden Nugget - and was TERRIFIED to go to sleep in the room. I basically dropped my bag there which had nothing but clothing in it and got the heck out of there! #2 reason was that there was a very attractive asian woman at the table who's company I was thoroughly enjoying (god forbid a man should do ANYTHING without bowing to the pressure of his real brain!).

I guess I'm an amateur, or perhaps just not as degenerate. My longest session was about 20 hours at the Taj. I didn't really notice the time passing, but I did notice that I started seeing the same dealers for a third down. I was playing 3/6 limit. Bought in for 200, walked out with just under 600. Not sure if it was worth it. I had players show up the next day who played at the table the previous night and gave me the "you're STILL here?". That was a night of some fine suited connectage.

36 hours a few years back, it was disgusting. I came in on a Sunday night around 9ish, didn't leave until Tuesday morning.

The only good thing that came out of that was my monster score of $30-$40 lol

Isn't that funny how most our stories end up with smaller "winnings" then we can do in much shorter sessions.

I think that gives us some insight about general deviation and how we must be focused and thinking about the game moreso then playing in it to truely maximize each situation.

I guess playing because we love it, can be somewhat counterproductive.

I wanna go to the Bike right now.... or better yet, north to the Chumash. Its a quicker trip and has much looser games.

That's probably part of it, but I think a fair number of super-long sessions are borne out of the player getting down early and not wanting to leave stuck.

I remember sleeping in my old purple car
after an almost 2 day session! At one point
I played 4/8 for 24 straight hours...I actually
didn't get up from the table for over 8 hours
and almost fell on the table next to us when
I finally stood up.

That was still my greatest 4/8 LHE session to
date: $120 buy-in, left with over 6 racks.

I miss the upstairs room...and being a degenerate.

15, 16 hours in various casino trips. 12-13 at underground clubs.

I just got off a 25 hour bender. When I start twitching I know it's time to go home. I ran into another guy that was at the tail end of a 3 day session. He literally fell asleep between every hand until the dealer woke him up. Eventually the floor told him he needed to go take a walk.

i played a 18 hour session once, only due to getting hit in the face with the deck. most memorable part of the session came about 4 hours into the night. i was down to my last $80 on a 5/5 NL table and quadrupled up w/ KJhearts on a Qh10h4s flop. didn't lose a shown down hand after that.
