[/ QUOTE ] You're probably seeing some audio/video lag from YouTube. The game generally plays pretty tight. It is true that you can hit notes early or late but they can come at you pretty fast. There's no perfect/great because the DDR guys didnt make this game. You get a multiplier based on how many notes you hit in a row to up your score.

So I bought this game, and my hand hurts like hell from it. Also, those vids are sick, although the best IIDX players are way more impressive.
Anyway, what is the over/under on "guitar hero sequel where a 7 fret guitar is introduced forcing everyone to pay another 50 bucks for a guitar"? I'm going with guitar hero 5.

Your hands'll get used to it. I want to get me some Beatmania though. Game looks sick. Hopefully I'll be bumping this thread with some vids of my own once I get some kind of recording device.

Wow, grats man. If I owned this game I'd be right there with you.
Unlike you, I do believe 100% on Jordan is possible, but not worth the practice. Also, I had a design to create the ultimate custom Guitar Hero controller with added high note fret buttons for easier soloing. Check it out. Couldn't find the time to make it, though.

I've 5 starred everything on medium. But suck at hard. I can't get the switching hands/buttons right. I took down the first couple sections but damn i should play it more...

Well, I designed that controller right after the first game came out and just haven't looked into modding since I saw some idiot make a Flying V with a 2x4 for a neck.
The solo buttons should be closer to the bottom of the fretboard, the designs on those customs is pretty weak. Did you ever play Frequency or Amplitude?
