Default I\'m a Loser

I tried Poker - busted.
I tried Black Jack - busted.
I tried Roulette - made MUCH Profit but lost it at Poker, and i fear to rebuild my BR (The Software knows my System now, so its harder to win).
I tried ("not 100%") Backgammon - busted.

And i know if i try Sports Betting i will lose again.

I don't really care about the money, it doesn't hurd me, what i really wan't is to make 100$ - 150$ per day.
But i think there are people who can do this, and there are people -like me- who can not (they are just too dumb).

I've never read any Book about Poker (played FL), i thought all the Time "just play suited connectors, high pairs, play only when you hit the flop or you have a draw".
I don't know if i like Poker, sometimes i do sometimes i don't, i think its just Business.

I think it will be ever a dream to have a nice second income with Gambling, there is no way to do it (for me), or have anybody some tips for me?

I think you think that making a living at gambling is easy - and either you have it or you don't.

Stop with the roulette - you can't beat a roulette over the long run. The fact that you made a profit is merely some short term luck. Don't ever play again if you're serious about making a living at gambling.

I don't play blackjack, so I can't comment.

Poker is deceptively easy for those who don't realize - or even comprehend - how much strategy & theory there is behind it.

If you read through these forums - that will become clear pretty quickly.

Unless you're a highly talented player - you're not going to be able to just sit down at a poker table and start winning.

Poker can be profitable - but you must learn a lot, study a lot, play a lot, etc. As a job, it's just like any other job - it's a TON of work to get good at.

You don't sound like a patient person to me - and if you're not, then you probably won't ever excel at poker, because being a consistent winner requires a lot of patience, consistency & discipline.

Do you have these 3 attributes? If not - then you're probably doing your wallet a favor by not playing. If you do - tell us what game you want to play - and I'm sure anyone here can recommend an excellent starting book.

If you're playing hold 'em - I can't think of a better place to start than Getting Started in Hold 'em by Ed Miller - which is basically for limit hold 'em - but does have a smaller no limit section at the end.

...and...don't feel bad about being a loser - the vast majority of poker players (and I'm willing to bet even the majority of 2p2'ers) are losing players as well.

Depending on the size of your bankroll there may be a way to sports betiing WITHOUT getting busted easily. Since I dont have enough money i never tried it but I recommend searching the internet for "sure bets".

Hope this helps!

Of the games mention only Poker has a +EV.

Blackjack you will lose in te long run, Roulette is one of the very worst games to win money at, the worst EV, Backgammon for money? If you are good and have read a few books I suppose.

Sports betting I would suspect that 98% of people that bet on sprts are losers. This leaves poker where another 98% are losers (literally).

Do you think it is easy??

Take a Paper and write down:

1 - 2 - 3 - 4

Now, you play the last and the first one (1+4=5) and bet on "Odd" or "Even".

If you win this round you can delete the two Numbers you have played (1 and 4).

Now you have (1) - 2 - 3 - (4).

Play again the first and the last one, so 2 plus 3 (=5$).

If you lose write down the Bet behind the last one:
(1) - 2 - 3 - (4) - 5
Remember you have already played the 1 and 4 so you have only
2 - 3 - 5

Bet the first and the last one again (2+5=7)
Lets say you lose again so you write down the 7 (2+5=7).
(1) - 2 - 3 - (4) - 5 - 7

The first and the last one again, so 7+2=9.

You win, you can delete the first and last one.

(1) - (2) - 3 - (4) - 5 - (7)

Now you play again the first and the last one (3 + 5 = 8).
If you win with 8 (3+5=8) you are done and won 10 Dollars.
All Numbers must be deleted, if you're finished with a "line", you can start a new round (1 - 2 - 3 - 4).

This System takes a long time and you need a big BR, you can lose all your Money (takes a long time too), it's just a game of Luck.
You should maybe begin with 1 - 1 - 1 - 1.

... i hope you can understand my poorly English.

If you have more money than the casino, you can beat the casino at roulette. If you dont, you lose. Just keep gambling to cover your losses...LOL

I have a co-worker who is a decent poker player. Sometimes he goes on and on about his "fool-proof" roulette system. I tried to explain Martingale to him, but he just won't listen.

The wierd thing is, he's a really good poker player.

exec, you want to make $100-$150 a day gambling? If you can do that five days a week, every week for a year then that's nearly $40,000. Well, the good news is many people can make that much money playing poker, and quite a few make much more.

Bet let me ask you this - If you were going to go looking for a regular job that paid the same amount, what do you think you'd have to do to qualify for that job? How long do you think you'd have to study? How long do you think you'd have to work as an apprentice or intern?

Poker is going to requior that same amount of work to get that same result.

Nothing's for nothing. And that's the best tip anyone is ever going to give you.

These assertions are incorrect.

Blackjack is only -EV if you play straight up. However, any professional Blackjack player counts cards. It's how they make money. It takes a larger bankroll than Poker because your edge is slight, but it's still +EV.

Backgammon is also +EV if you know how to play the actual game well, in the same way Chess would be +EV. The only difference between the two is Backgammon has a luck component whereas Chess does not.

You are correct about Roulette though. It's not so -EV that people would notice, but it is -EV.
