I've noticed that my WTSD is higher, the higher limits I play. Does anyone else notice this in their stats? If so, why do you think that is?

Because people bluff more you have to call down with more marginal hands. Or you have to be the best hand reader ever and raise them on the river a lot and have them fold to avoid showdowns, I can't do that so my WtSD is over 40.

because higher stake games are more aggressive than lower stake games so you are forced to call down more and see more showdowns to avoid getting ran over. also at lower stakes, a lot of players are more predictable and readable and you can safely fold to them. as you move up in limits you run into less of those types.

Yeah, I've had this problem when teaching lower limit players how to play, my higher WTSD doesnt apply there.
I had this discussion with a low WTSD player that plays up to 1-2. His theory was that he wanted an as low WTSD as was playable, his is 36%. |
