Re: Identity - new TV show

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Is this the one Penn is hosting? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, it's Penn of Penn and Teller. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks for clarifying. If you would have just said "Yes," I would have assumed that the State of Pennsylvania is hosting. [/ QUOTE ] Nor would it be Sean Penn. |

[ QUOTE ] Yeah, I watched it, it sucked. 1 vs 100 however, is pretty damn good... besides how they had annie duke on it.. f that breezy. [/ QUOTE ] I like 1v100. It would be cool to put dollar amounts behind each of the 100 to see how much they have won too. A Duke, from the last one I saw, was still there after answering like 15 straight questions over 2 shows. [/ QUOTE ] The mob doesn't win unless the contestant blows it. Since the contestants wimp out a lot, the mob doesn't win much. But LOL at Ken Jennings getting pwned by the roulette question. |

Re: Identity - new TV show
I would watch this, 'cause it seems fun to play along with, but Penn's involvement precludes my doing so.

Re: Identity - new TV show
What a trainwreck. The PI guy was borderline stupid, and the chick who went after him was completely retarded. Seriously, I could have gotten seven pretty easily on her round, and then used my freebie eliminating one of the final tough matchups. I pegged the biker guy as the nuclear physicist for some reason, damn I'm good.

[ QUOTE ] worst show in the world. [/ QUOTE ] horrible idea. It will not last. Like Shatner's whatever. Unless they put up there some strippers and prostitutes. [/ QUOTE ] The thing about shatner's show is it seems insanely easy to win a crap load of $$. From the 2 episodes i watched, I'd say the EV for a decently smart person is well over 300k. |

You get to the point where you're up against a reasonably smart mob and risking $75k+ to win another $5-20k. I saw a little bit of Identity, having DVRed it, and it was god awful. Never again. Shatner's new game is pretty bad too. I really hate how it takes an hour to ask 10 questions. I watch this show 6 mintues. I could watch it in 2 if it weren't for the dancers. 1 vs 100 isn't much better, but I enjoy it a lot more. Hasn't Annie been on 3-4 episodes now? |

Re: Identity - new TV show
I actually thought Identity was "ok," but I can't stand any of these new shows, in general. How about a game show where they get through more than 4 questions/picks/whatever in an hour? Talk about over-produced. Identity would be much better if it was just faster.
I did love how stupid the second contestant's friends were. When they unanimously said that Eve Plumb was the Oscar winner, and then Penn reminded them that Oscars are for movies, they looked dumbstruck. I haven't watched Shatner's show and I want to alternate between licking razor blades and lemons whenever I catch more than five seconds of Deal or No Deal. If I do, for some reason, stay on that show long enough to see one briefcase picked, I root for the contestant to lose. |
