Re: NL100 - QTo LP
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] OP, There is not likley to be a single one of the regs in this forum who would call your shove with an A. That's why I think the shove is read-dependent and a value-packed 3/4 pot is best. The Zeebo Theorem is a good one, but obviously hyperbolizes and doesn't work here. [/ QUOTE ] thing is, i shove xx here representing the Q, or repping an A, so an A HAS to call some of the time [/ QUOTE ] Against YOU, yes. That's the biggest leak in your strat advice, tu: You're a good LAG, but most people are not! [/ QUOTE ] im a nit. |

Re: NL100 - QTo LP
[ QUOTE ]
His theory is that if you beat most of villain's potential boats, then you should just push, because you will get called a redonkulously high % of the time. [/ QUOTE ] Ahhhh, ok. Thanks 42. If I had a weak ace in this hand instead of QTo and I hit a boat on the river instead of quads, would you recommend pushing AI if checked to? The reason I am asking this is that it seems that a bunch of posters would fold the queens full in this spot, so we could prevent a chop by pushing...? Is the reward worth the risk of running into a slowplayed AA or Qx? Haupt_234 |

If that Ace is any other card then I think you get tremendous value showing with a Q, or an 'overpair' In this case (at least IMO) that ace on the board is enough to scare off the worse boats. A donkey is never folding an ace there and a smart player isn't calling a shove without a Q. Make that A a T and make your hand JJ and you will see all kinds of crap (lower PPs, AT, etc.) falling over themselves to stack off. |

I don't think anyone folds an Ace here. I think there are some regs who are capable of realising this is a split/Q but 80% of them at least are calling with an A here. [/ QUOTE ] No WAY do 80% of the regular posters in this forum call that river shove with an A. I just refuse to believe that, bilbo. It's a very bad call to make. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry. I thought that with "regulars" you meant the FTP regs with the taggish stats, almost all of whom are calling with an A. But I also believe that more 2p2 posters than you think would call this with an A. |
