AK is not a so strong hand !
I read this hand in a poker magazine from my country.I never read theses magazines and was almost sure to read some [censored] ( Because I am a 2+2 fanatic ).
I was surprised to find an interesting article. The autor talked about pokertracker and pokerace. He explained how he quickly searched for a good table and that a good player make 10/bb average at theses tables ( 2/4$ ). Then he gaves few examples of how AK is not a so strong hand (folding some tricky spots ) and the hand below was the most interesting for me. I have to say I am really confused and I will appreciate feedback. MP is a fish and BB is 35/21 and made nothing out of line. What do you think of preflop play ? and flop play ? Re: AK is not a so strong hand !
I'm wondering why hero did not just push preflop. But I'm just a NL200-fish

Re: AK is not a so strong hand !
I'd 4-bet preflop and probably call the flop for value. We only need to be good here 25%.
I'd fold to any turn bet that doesn't include an Ace or King. And I'd check-behind in checked to. And check-behind on most rivers. |

Re: AK is not a so strong hand !
What is wrong with folding the flop? Should we be floating a lot?

Re: AK is not a so strong hand !
Well I was not sure for the preflop action, since we have position. May be the call is possible, may be the 4bet is truely better.
For the flop, I really like a call here ( everybody is agree ? ). I wonder how we should play the flop if Villain made a pot bet instead of this tiny continuation bet . Do you think a push is the best ? or a fold ? |

Re: AK is not a so strong hand !
i don't see why calling that flop is good... it's (as previously mentioned) essentially a float and judging by the size of the bet into you, the guy has a very strong hand. 4 betting makes this hand much easier.
