Re: AK vs nit
I really like a reraise on the flop. then keep betting hard and get it all in. to often are donks calling w/ AX.
Also you wanna bet for value and cause of that draw on the board |

Re: AK vs nit
raise teh flop to protect against a draw. he may be a nit but hes still not folding AQ or AJ at this level. as played though river is an easy call

Re: AK vs nit
[ QUOTE ]
raise flop, as played, raise river for value vs. AQ or AJ [/ QUOTE ] weve called down the whole way. raising is a very bad idea as played and you should not do it in this spot with one pair. cant raise for value when we beat 2 hands |

Re: AK vs nit
Raise flop. Do NOT raise river and re-open betting.

Re: AK vs nit
I think a raise somewhere is needed, more than likely on the flop. But tread water after that since if he is a NIT as stated, he probably has a set at this point, so bloating the pot is not wise against a NIT.
If you raise the flop a true 11/7 player will not stick around if he doesnt have AK beat. But by calling him down, you give him a chance to think his AQ, AJ, A10, QQ, JJ might be good. For the first time against a NIT I like OP's line and call him down to see what he is playing into the PFR with. He gets to showdown most of the time winning the maximum from a NIT and losing the minimum. As played, raising the river is not a good idea. Edited: Post flop aggression factor plays a huge roll in this also. |
