I had a feeling you were trying to set him up preflop since he likes to push so much, so I like the call, just not the result. You win that, you got a great shot to take it down. He didn't show down too many hands, but with as often as he was pushing, you were way ahead of his range for 8M chips.

IMO it was a correct call, and v unlucky it didn't hold. Esp the way the table was going, i think he had to do that.

Yeah, also gobbo was kinda in a spot where he was too short to run over the table, and didn't seem to be catching many cards. I certainly believe a double up there would have made the FT bubble a lot more profitable and set him up nicely for a big score. I think it was a great call knowing what gobbo could do with those chips, assuming he thought he was at least a slight fav.

I think a fair amount of hands fold to a push that would push...actually I'm not sure of any hands that gobbo is ahead of that call a push.
