I would guess no for this year, it takes some time for that to happen and if there has not been anything posted as of yet? That would be cool, but New Years Eve in Vegas now is a lot busier that in years past, it may be harder to control the crowds on the possibly busiest night of the year.

I put that information in my Two Plus Two Magazine article using Wikipedia as the source (which used the Stardust website as its source). However, the Wikipedia article has been edited to removed the New Year's Eve implosion.

well if it is true ill have to go to vegas for new years to see an old friend die. i placed alot of bets at that joint. and it was one of (if not the last) place on the strip that would give a poker/sports bettor a very nice casino rate BEFORE checking in as long as you booked w/ the floorman.

Definately not new Years. Much too soon. They are barely running the auction now, and setting up for an implosion (i.e. gutting the buildings, etc) takes time. I would be surprised if it is done by February.
