i tried playing this game once at Best Buy, but being left handed sucks in this case since everything is backwards on the controller.

You can change the settings for left handed people.

uh oh, its on then, guess i'll be getting this game after all. i take back all the bad things i said about right handed people, like keeping the left handed man down.

How is this game not just like DDR?

And isn't DDR pretty gay?

I guess very basically it is. Notes come down and you hit them. But the songs rocking helps a whole lot and scorehero gives a competetive element to it. There are plenty of songs you know and love on here as well as some other kick ass rock/metal that you won't know.

"Heart-Shaped Box" - Nirvana
# "You Really Got Me" - Van Halen
# "Carry On Wayward Son" - Kansas (Encore)
"Monkey Wrench" - Foo Fighters
# "War Pigs" - Black Sabbath (Encore)
# "Sweet Child O' Mine" - Guns N' Roses (Encore)
"Trippin' On a Hole in a Paper Heart" - Stone Temple Pilots
"Misirlou" - Dick Dale
"Free Bird" - Lynyrd Skynyrd (Encore)

to name just a few you'd probably be familiar with.

I also think comparitively, though GH is nothing like playing a real guitar, its certainly feels closer to playing a real guitar than DDR is to actually dancing.

I can barely move my hands right now because I have played guitar hero 2 like 40 hours in the last 3 days.Thank god my girlfriend plays with me or I'd be like one of those Korean kids that sits in front of the playstation until they die of exhaustion.

yup, they are a lot of fun

games like this and ddr and dk bongos etc attract a lot of people who don't otherwise play video games because they are simple and fun; they don't require dedicating 40 hours of your time or learning 5 pages of button combinations

i think there has been a thread or two about this that should be here, or if not, it's in Puzzles & Other Games forum, where people talked about GH2...so if people don't respond much here, it may just be because they already discussed it

but it gets much [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] with the POG crowd

[/ QUOTE ]

ty for the heads up.

i find that i am streaky with this game and sometimes am better drunk haha

weedley weedley weedley

I suck at this game. I haven't five-starred anything on Expert yet, and I still haven't passed Hanger 18. I'll get you yet GT1T, though (if Beatmania doesn't destroy my hands first...)

The game needs more instrumental tracks like Jessica and Jordan. Mainly because TOP PLAYAS are going to demand more absurd guitar solos, and the fact that whoever they have singing the covers sucks (Mother and Killing In The Name Of are rofltastically bad).
