I like pf, sometimes you need to go against "conventional wisdom" and mix it up so people know not to [censored] with you and so they think you suck. Not enough people on the forum understand the merit of plays like this.

I don't get any of this. The lead on the flop makes sense to me, but everything else seems random.

I think the preflop raise is really bad at a $114...Also my rereraise on the flop would have been larger.

Is there a Star's turbo where raising 57s UTG in level one even a remotely good idea?

[/ QUOTE ]

Its not the worst thing ever in a large buyin sng where you want toshow that you will occassioinally raise in EP with weird stuff, since in general a good player's range is ridiculously tight and will get them no action against regulars.

I'm not saying it's a great thing to do but its at least reasonable. However at a $114 I think its totally pointless in this spot and a waste of money.

I wouldn't even try to justify it to you. As for postflop, he called my raise so I achieved that objective, the only question is, would he have called more/how much, most of the time I have JJ+ there anyway, so I stack him even when the 8 comes on the turn. Anyway whatever. I played it a thousand times better than he did, thats for sure.

i dont know where to start.

You do okay against most of the sorts of people who call raises early, anyway LOL like I say my VPIP in level 1 and 2 is like 8%, not out of control. Anyway I'm gaining plenty of chips at levels 1-3, 6-7 is where I lose them, I do fine with 50bb 9 handed, not so good with 9bb 7 handed.

Thanks for comments.

Mack
