Only thing you're beating is a bluff. Would be bluff here like this? .. if no, then fold.

Is checking behind on the turn terrible?

[/ QUOTE ]

yes, because stacks are deep and we want to get the money in

[/ QUOTE ]?? You want to get the money in, but if he check-raises, you fold??

HEK, this is a very good/interesting hand. I can't even add in my own advice because this is TOO CLOSE. I'm looking forward to seeing more replies.

Villian is a loose but pretty solid player. I don't have much knowledge of him except for that and the fact that his stats are 21/9.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't get it. 21/9 isn't exactly loose. And over how many hands is this?

He's playing a 21/9. What about you?

I don't play half this high but cannot imagine folding here.

The thing that just doesn't seem to make sense is why he would play 88/77 so fast there are on the turn. I realize he wants to get the money in, but he doesn't need to raise to 80% of the stack sizes in order to do that.

On the other hand, this line really makes it look like you're beat.... especially after the flop action. If villian CAN have 76/87 here, I think it's a fold, and if he can't, I think it's a call.

Has he ever opened a suited connector before?

At 21/9 I'm sure he's opened sc's from EP/MP before.

I'd expect him to 3-betflop here a vast majority of the time w/ 77/88 and these stacks, so I'm going broke here.

If I'm beat, I'd expect it's by 67 most likely, or 87 (which is more likely to just call than 77/88 on flop).

But all-in-all, I think we're gonna be good here enough to get it in, versus AA or KK or so.
