You should start your notes with "Once upon a time there was a poker player who...."

They are a lot nicer to read that way...

This is awesome.

I used to do paste links to good porno to entertain me later in the notes.

Now, I usually just put "I've seen this guy x times before, why don't I have better notes?"

My notes are similar to those above, but I commonly leave instructions for myself for the future, like "Slow-play this idiot."

Also (and sorry for the semi-hijack), I recently sent Stars a suggestion about notetaking. I suggested that each note be "auto-populated" with some situational information so as to create a better context for the note.

For example, the stuff in brackets below would be generated by Stars each time you take a note...

[NLHE/MTT/$11/L3/9H] Rz 3x UTG, c-bet A-J-6r flop, folded to rz

This would automatically give you the game, game type, buy-in, blind level ("L3"), and how many handed the table was ("9H"). Better context, less typing.

Stars got back to me and basically said it sounds like a good idea but don't hold your breath. Am I the only one who thinks that something like this would be pretty valuable?

[/hijack]

I asked PS about a very similar thing about a month ago. I want to know if I could create my own template, so when I opened a new note on someone it would already have some headings like:
PF
l/f
l/c
l/r
etc etc.

Similar response.

Another thing I do is note if a player is a 2+2er, even if i'm not playing them at the time but get there screenname from a post or something i open up the notes .txt file and add them in.

Most of the times my notes are "calls down" or "can laydown a big hand."

Otherwise I'll make a note on a play they made like
"limped in EP with AA/KK"
"bluffed a busted draw on river"
"raised turn with a gutshot str8 draw"

Or their habits,
"overly aggressive"
"doesn't value bet"
"Good TAG/LAG"

And sometimes "moron", "complete idiot".
