Common situation I might be missing out on
Loose live 20/40 game... lots of bad players who play bad on all streets but give me mucho respecto.
Two loose-passive people limp in MP and I check in the BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Bet? |

Sometimes. But if you really determined to run this bluff, you are committing yourself to bet the turn as well uless it comes broadway.

Re: Common situation I might be missing out on
I think if you are going to make a play on that board you should check raise. But the problem is that if it's a typical 10-20 game no one is ever going to fold a 9 unless the turn is some sort of broadway. Just a thought.

Re: Common situation I might be missing out on
Considering your table image, I would bet. I think check/raising is bad because passive opponents don't usually try to pick up pots without some sort of hand. I think check/folding is bad too as it is likely you have the best hand.
Just my opinion... |

Re: Common situation I might be missing out on
so if the check-raise fails because everyone checks then you lead out any blankish turn and your opponents can't figure out what you're representing. i feel like leading the flop represents exactly Ax.

Re: Common situation I might be missing out on
I like raising preflop in those spots with a suited ace. Live players give BB raises a lot of respect. Makes it a little easier to pick up the pot by leading the flop.
