Default barf--AKo flops flush draw in reraised pot

villain is 'swedenshero', tag and winning player, havent seen him get out of line all the often. I have been playing similarly, havent shown down much at this particular table.

Stacks are 2095.

villain raises to 60 in the CO, I make it 244 on the button with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], he calls

flop J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

villain checks, I bet 425, villain goes all in for $1400 more and change.

eh?

Villian is representing AA-JJ/possible Ad, clear fold imo.

if it is a fold then why bet, no one is ever going to call that. they are going to shove on you or fold.

to clarify, is it worth bet-folding with a hand like this when you could take the free card. isnt that better used with nothing?

i also think a lot of people will shove on you with a pocket pair with a diamond in it, but maybe not this villain. i think when this particular villain calls your reraise pf his range is pretty narrow and you should procede with caution.

a large part of his range consists of pocket pairs with no diamond. also, i could see more of a reason to check back with the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] because with the K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], even if we check it and catch a diamond, our hand is not all that valuable

Prev: You can definately check behind in this spot, and in a vacuum, that's exactly what you want to do. But, because of the fact that most people follow up their 3-bets w/ a continuation bet nearly regardless of flop in this spot, then you cannot really think in that way.

Basically, if you are a guy often checking behind w/ a real hand in this spot, then you can definately check. But if you nearly never do that, and nearly always follow up, then I don't like a check (even though you are basically making your hand into air all the times he just doesn't cold-call you, and I don't think he will that ever having 1400 left on turn w/a pot of 1300+ on turn)

Another really important factor to consider is how aggressive this guy is, and how prone to make a move w/ a lesser holding he is here. The more aggressive/tricky/prone to be doing this w/ very marginal holdings, the more you should consider checking (with other holdings as well of course). Versus a straightforward guy, I bet all the time.

do u think he is more or less likely to shove his JJ-AA if he has a diamond or if he doesn't?
