$22 - 55 hand long bubble about to burst. . . or is it???
Every time a small stack moved in, they doubled up, enabling this bubble to seemingly last forever. The other players left were chatty and everyone seemed to be having a good time at the table. Should I have turned chat off before making my play on this hand?

Any idea what COs range is? |

fold. if the flop hits you most of the time it will be tricky. just save your 800 for another time.

Pushing is retarded. I don't see a big difference between calling and folding.

Folding here pre-flop isn't just weak-tight its borderline indefensible. You are getting nearly 4:1 pre-flop with KJo 4 handed.

I don't agree. I think folding is a reasonable play with such big blinds.

Calling > Folding > Raising All-in. Good pot odds and chance to team up to knock out shorty.

[/ QUOTE ] If you knew your opponents were cluey, and cared about their own EV first, foremost, and only, you could push and know that they'd be forced to fold. I haven't done the calculations, but I like pushing a lot - you cash if either you or min-raiser wins. You should have a heap of fold equity by pushing over the top - the Min-Raiser must beat you to stay in the tourney. If you win vs both hands, you head into HU with a massive advantage. |

If you knew your opponents were cluey, and cared about their own EV first, foremost, and only, you could push and know that they'd be forced to fold. [/ QUOTE ] Well, the bubble had legit lasted 55 hands, so they obviously seemed interested in survival. With UTG min raising, I guess it appeared to me that I had a greater chip lead on him than what I actually did, so I shoved. He really couldn't call, imho, without a premuim hand, so I felt assured that I would gain chips outta the deal. Looking back, I may have needed a slightly larger chip lead (over the UTG min raiser) for this to have been a real good play. Noone else insta-shoves this? Les |
