Personally I find most semi-attractive women walking around on the street more attractive than most porn stars, but I think the reason they're rating them 4.5 is that half the people are using a 10-point scale and half are using the obviously superior 3- or 4-point scales so it brings it down. I find many many different types of girls attractive. Fat girls, however, I have 0% attraction for.

Is life fair that way? No. Sometimes you have to learn how to deal with reality and make adjustments rather than dream about a fantasy world.

I imagine the situation would be very much the same for a short man overhearing a bunch of women in a room saying something disparaging about a man's height. I think the main issue is most of the men on this board:

a) as discussed, are 20 year old, pasty and terrified of women (no offense guys, I was there, I'm just older now)

b) are on an anonymous message board which always brings out another level of candor/rancor/etc. than live or even phone communication

c) assume their audience is all male, which is 99.5% true


The only possible solution I see is if more women were to become more active in the forum. If there were some cool girl who posted here, that everyone liked and also knew was a little on the heavy side, the fat girl posts would go way way down. When I used to wait tables, I hated a giant table of all men or all women, the worst sides of both come out when they don't have the other sex to impress.

A few things. 1. The OP making a post like this is only going to exaserbate the problem instead of helping things. 2. A forum that is 99.5% women would be very similarly antimale. 3. The anonymous nature of an internet forum is going to exaggerate the the appearance of misogyny especially when the forum is mostly male and so large that people have to be provocative to get a reaction or be remembered.

I admire any woman who post here because God knows I wouldn't last long in a woman dominated forum. But to come in here and think that you are going to change things by whining is foolish.
