Not surprising at all. He hung out with Jordan a lot and gambled with him continuously.

Those athletes play a lot of -ev games like craps, slots, roulette and uninformed sports betting etc. They deserve what they get.

Barkley semi-famously bet like 200k on the money line on the Patriots vs the Rams in the SB about 4 years ago, winning I believe 1.4M. This news would come as no surprise to me.

They said on Sportscenter it was 550K. Phil Mickelson was another athlete who's been known to gamble quite a bit, winning $560K on the Ravens to win the Superbowl and the Diamondbacks to win the World Series.

He also used to make football picks on Dan Patrick's radio show, although he says that he hasn't gambled since 2003.

I saw Barkley on that terrible Carson Daily interview show not that long ago. Apparently, Barkley, Carson, and Jordan went out to Vegas to play roulette. Carson casually brought up some "roulette system" that was awesome or something that Barkley taught him.

I bet my system is better using red or black...Much more simple.

I was at the Ritz at Kapalua right before the Mercedes Championship in 2001 and Phil M was making some absolutely sick football bets when we were at the pool.

What we don't hear about are the times when he bet big and lost big on a sports event which is the majority of the time when he bets.
