Default gutshot SF draw on paired board

Villain is 40/15 over 100 hands in prior sessions. I didn't have any notes on him.

Alternate lines for turn/river?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (4 handed) internettexasholdem.com

saw flop|saw showdown

Button ($777)
SB ($600)
BB ($1307)
Hero ($1045.15)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $3.
Hero raises to $21, Button calls $21, 2 folds.

Flop: ($51) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $49, Button calls $49.

Turn: ($149) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $140, Button calls $140.

River: ($429) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button calls $567 (All-In), Hero...?

I would make a blocking bet very quickly and hope he doesnt raise a busted flushdraw vs me

How much do you bet on the river?

i think the turn is a decent spot to c/r all-in

as played, i'd just give up the river with no read. seems like he has a big hand.

Don't block, just check and fold to anything that isn't tiny.

That sounds better actually considering how scared people play with paired boards. Still I'm wondering how loose villain is ?Do you think its possible he calls BS on you and calls down with a pair of fives or pocketpair worse than your pair?

Maybe im inserting reads into unknowns in this hand where there are none.

hahahahah, bro, are you serious? Villain has a naked 9 here almost never. He might have 5's full or 9's full of sevens a small % of the time though. I think your turn bet drives out smaller pockets pairs. I'd say there is way over a 50% chance he was on bigger spades. If I had a 9 I would take an identical line against an aggressive opponent, if he has spades the only equity left is bluff equity and you just induced it. I like the same one with yours, especialy after a 3 rolls off. He more than likely put you on TT+ and figured you were too weak to potentialy stack off with it. His all-in on the river smells like [censored], what hand value bets in this manner? He'd have to be pretty clever to think he could get a "hero call" from JJ and the like, and they are just not that clever down here...

Like flop, turn, and river, next time check-instacall, snap em off, and then type muppet into the chatbox about as fast as you can ;-) If you got pwned, you got pwned, make a note and move on...

people usually fold higher spades to a large bet on paired boards, after he calls the turn you're rarely looking at a draw

Weird hand. I dunno why but I think he may have other spades here enough for this to be an okay call. Just hope it wasn't 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
