Most Annoying Local MLB Announcers
For me, I think the White Sox announcers just edge out the Yankees. I cannot stand "Hawk" Harrelson, and his horrible, horrible homer announcing. I hate it when I get the White Sox feed on Extra Innings.

He gone!
Funny that the local announcers I have heard the most are the Yankees (easily) and then the White Sox. |

I heart Hawk. The worst Ive ever heard are the guys who do the weekend Cardinal games on the WB.

Ron Fairly and Rick Rizzs, however his name is spelled, for the Mariners are awful.

Re: Most Annoying Local MLB Announcers
I am watching the White Sox vs. Cleveland game right now. How come these announcers are so blatantly biased? I find myself rooting for Cleveland just because I don't want to hear them talk about "our Sox."
Hawk was telling Brian Anderson, "You gotta hurry up Brian!" on a grounder to first. And then there was a ball that was borderline fair or foul -- you couldn't tell because the RF was making a sliding catch. They show a replay where it's hard to tell whether it's fair because of the angle, and Hawk goes "That's a fair ball!" The umpire who called it foul had a perfect angle to see whether it was fair. Hawk, I imagine that it's more likely the angle and your bias that is leaning you to that conclusion. Any time the Sox make a great play, they're so vocal and enthusiastic. Any time the Sox strike out or Cleveland made a play, it's almost utter silence for the next 10 seconds. They seem to be more fans than announcers. Admittedly, Hawk Harrelson irks me a lot more than the other announcer, who doesn't seem nearly as biased. |

I saw the game, too, and agree about the announcers. But the ball was fair.

Re: Most Annoying Local MLB Announcers
"PUT IT ON THE BOOOOARD! YES!!"
Maybe the most annoying phrase in all of sports, thank you White Sox announcers because they are the reason I never put a ChiSox game on when watching Extra innings. But most annoying is Micheal Kay by far. He is extremely bias, I don't know if any other announcer loves a team like he loves the Yankees. I almost feel like he has no idea what he is talking about. |

Re: Most Annoying Local MLB Announcers
The announcers were terrible, but that ball was clearly fair. Stop referring to your team as we when announcing a game, it's extremely annoying.
