$5 NLTRN - PF 3-bet - what hands 4bets me?
Villain was tight passive PF always limping/folding from SB. This is the 9th hand of the match. Postflop he was playing very agressive with one CR AI on the turn where I was 2nd barreling and one float where I read him as having it. When he limped and I had crap I was c/f the flop to a min bet (2 times).
BTW anyway to convert from PokerTracker HH? GAME #1199755078: Texas Hold'em NL Tournament 2007-11-20 11:10:56 Table 109440081 (Tournament: TURBO NLH Heads Up $5 Buy-In: $5+$0.25) Villain ($2,090.00 in chips) DEALER Hero ($910.00 in chips) Villain: Post SB $20.00 Hero: Post BB $40.00 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Hero [A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] Villain: Raise $60.00 Hero: Raise $240.00 That's the first hand he raised PF at all. Should I just call? What hands you think 4bet me? If he shoves I call? What is his calling range? |

if you have to raise preflop with marginal hands, raise smaller imo. similar effect, less getting shafted when they shove over the top of you.

Don't re-raise with a-9 against this particular player . Although , I usually re-raise with this hand against most players . If he's raised with one out of 9 hands , then his range may be ~ the top 10-15% of hands (notice 1/9=11.11%) .
You only beat k-qo , k-10s+ and qjs against the top 11.11% of hands . Against this range , a-9 wins ~ 35% of hands. Since we're not guaranteed to see 5 free cards , means that folding can't be far from wrong . |
