PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Hero ($24.20) MP ($13.80) CO ($6.90) Button ($32.55) SB ($29.30) BB ($10.90) Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, CO calls $1, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, BB calls $0.75. Flop: ($3.10) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">BB bets $0.75</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $2.25</font>, CO calls $2.25, BB calls $1.50. Turn: ($9.85) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font> BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $8</font>, CO calls $3.65 (All-In), BB folds. River: ($17.15) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font> Final Pot: $17.15 3BB donkbet looks as if he wants to draw cheaply, so I decide to raise and limit the field and gain position, also there is chance that both will fold. None of the possible draws arrived on the turn and I want to protect my pair, so I put them allin (BB had a little less than 8 left, CO less than 4). BB plays 29/11/6, CO 40/0/1.25 both for about 30 hands. |

I agree, that 3bb raise on flop is really fishy and you might get a free card/2barrel if turn blanks.

I think I raise his flop donkbet a little higher, to at least 3.25 or so. Raising 2 times his bet does almost nothing.
The rest of the hand is fine. |

He raised almost 3 times the bet. But yeah I would have definitely raised more on flop, other than that, nicely played.

You should raise more on the flop around 4$-5$ these donkbets OOP from the guys that called a pf raise are almost always weak and they almost always fold to a sizeable bet. After flop its all good.

By your raise on the flop, BB gets uge pot Odds - even when CO folds he has to pay $1.50 for a pot of $6.10. So in fact he is drawing very cheap by your weakish raise.
With CO coldcalling the Odds are getting even bigger! Turn is standard against those short stacks! |

As dogo said, when raising you always need to think in the odds you are laying to your opponents. After CO calls, BB is getting almost 6:1.
If you had raised more, the chances of CO not calling are greater and even if he does BB would have poor odds. |
