Final Pot: $302 I didn't have stats on villain yet, but he seemed like a passive guy who won't put a lot of money in without a hand, but in that case, he didn't put a lot of money in, so I was thinking about raising his bet on the end, trying to push him off a weak ace, because his line looks like either that, a draw, 9 or a monster. So I just called. Would anyone fold this? This line is so weird and I never know what it means. |

Re: 400NL middle pair facing c/c bet bet line
Since there are no draws, I think it is most often either a weak made hand like some 9 or a weak A that wants to go to showdown. Sometimes, but much more raarely, it is a strong hand like two pair/set looking to bet-3bet.
You are behind both with 77, so I would not call down. First time around I probably just give up here, but if I play back I raise turn. I like a turn raise better than a river raise, since it is harder for him to call with a weak hand. |

I would just fold river but it may be a leak [/ QUOTE ] He bet so little on both streets that I just had to pay him off. If he made a bigger bet on the river, I would fold. He is laying 3.4 to 1. But generally, what is your experience with that line? What does it mean usually? |

Re: 400NL middle pair facing c/c bet bet line
this looks like a classic passive player who fears flushes betting the turn to protect his top pair. tbh, i rarely see passive loose players show up with worse than top pair here, so i would either raise the turn if you think you can push villain off a hand or be calling the turn to bluff raise the river, but i really dont like the idea of calling the turn with the intention of getting to showdown.
