PP 200NL - First time ever playing
Good afternoon, I decided to move up from my normal $50 and $100 to try $200 for kicks. This is about 10 hands into my first session. (I had already taken a $100 pot with trip queens) Therefore, no reads. Comments? I overbet the pot on the flop to make Villian think I was on the draw and wanted him to go away.
Do you think I walked into a trap, or played this well when bricks showed up on the turn and river? Re: PP 200NL - First time ever playing
All is well here... Maybe betting slightly less on the turn looks more callable, but no worries. Obviously you get it in with top two.

Re: PP 200NL - First time ever playing
My initial bet on the flop would be higher probably 10.
I probably bet slightly less on the turn, other than that it looks just fine. |

BTW, nowhere in this hand did you overbet the pot.

Re: PP 200NL - First time ever playing
If you go 70-75 on turn, then the river bot is 240-250, and you only have 90-100 left anyway.

Man, did that guy overplay his hand or what!!?! With no reads, you seem over-aggressive. Against a maniac, all is well, but no sane pokerplayer should call that turn bet with TPMK (meaning you're only gonna get called by 77).
I'd sooner make it 2/3 on the turn and slightly under 1/2 on the river. That's much more callable with KQ / K7. |

All comments were appreciated.
I wasn't too concerned with a set of 7's. I figured nobody would min-raise this on the flop. I figured I was up against a K with a high kicker. Luckily for me I was right and he showed KhTh and mhig. |

Re: PP 200NL - First time ever playing
As UTG+1 would anyone of called/raised PF?
How would you have played it during all the streets? To the person who said no one should call turn pot+ size: Would you of called the PS raise on flop? |
