2 difficult 50nl spots......
hand 1
I reraise this flop to protect my hand, because allot of turn/rivers i dont want to see really. Als for value because i think i have the best hand.... Is my line on the turn ok? I check call here because he could semibluff allot of the time here. Was leading better? Or checkfolding? What should i do on the river? I honestly put him on a ak/aq type of hand, but an overpair is also possible. Is a call in this spot very bad? Re: 2 difficult 50nl spots......
Hand 1:
I would just lead out on this flop if im getting raised/called i would just give up this hand Hand 2: Given his stats and the preflop action im putting him on a pretty big hand (AA,KK,QQ,AKs) so a call preflop seems fine because when you hit your set you probably are stacking him. On the flop its an easy fold |

Re: 2 difficult 50nl spots......
I check/fold turn in hand 1, your hand isn't that good, and you checkraised flop and he's still firing turn. Why didn't you lead this flop BTW? I don't like C/R'ing this hand on this flop (also because it could get checked through)
Fold in hand 2. |

Re: 2 difficult 50nl spots......
Hand 2: fold preflop. You can't play for set value as mentioned above (given stacks). As played, call if your gut is saying AK/AQ.

Re: 2 difficult 50nl spots......
AJ, can you elaborate on folding hand 2 preflop? This seems very counterintuitive to me.
Regarding hand 1, I generally just fold this from the SB with one limper. Sounds nitty, but avoiding marginal OOP situations seems to reduce my variance a bit, even if I am giving up a PTBB from my winrate in doing so. I'd much rather be raising this in position than limping OOP, even though you are getting great odds to call. As played I think you have to bet/fold flop. |

AJ, can you elaborate on folding hand 2 preflop? This seems very counterintuitive to me. [/ QUOTE ] Well, you have to fold some level of pp's to 3bs. There's a line where below it you are just playing for set value and above the line you feel your pair can still stand alone and take a pot by itself. TT is the cutoff for many people. |
