50NL, 1st day at 6max, AA vs. flop raise, line?
Thanks to everybody for the feedback yesterday on converting from full ring to 6max. Now I'm trying to take it to heart....
Villain was 20/5/2.8 over 87 hands, but I think a lot of those were old full ring hands. I hadn't been at the table too long and hadn't played a hand of 6max this year til today. I'll post what I did in a while. Party Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $39.30 UTG+1: $78.07 CO: $83.34 Button: $26.75 Hero: $121.83 BB: $49.20 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 folds, Button calls, Hero raises to $2.00, BB calls, Button calls. Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($5.25, 3 players) Hero bets $6, BB raises to $17, Button folds, Hero...? |

Re: 50NL, 1st day at 6max, AA vs. flop raise, line?
Other than him having a set of 9s or 6s (can't imagine he wouldn't reraise JJ?) it looks like at worst an outside straight/flush draw combo...more likely less than that. Could very easily be something like QT, T8, AJ...or a steal if he thinks you're continuation betting AK or whatever.
Personally I can't see myself laying this down...I'd push him. |

Poooosh. Especially it being SB vs BB can make people do funny things with average hands.

villain has ~30 behind, it's either push or fold.
given that he's short just push and hope you're ahead, or else hit two aces |

I can't see folding here, there are draw possibilities and steal possibiities and you cover. Catch a third A if you need it
By the way, start a new DB for 6 max. It's bad to have stats up that may be totally irrelevant. Full ring, I play tighter than a new inmates butt cheeks during his first shower. 6 Max I play like a drunken pimp. Good luck |
