WSEX Players - Bet on some games

I'm not sure if this has been discussed in the larger threads or not. I haven't signup up there yet but have been reading that a lot of you are enjoying it. I suggest that if you want to continue to have a rake free site to play on you bet on sports. You are saving a lot of money by not paying rake. Go make a few $10 sports bets every so often. This will only encourage them to continue offering rake free poker. It's +EV, not to mention FUN!!!

How is it +EV? The sports bets are -EV unless you're a sports nut. By making those bets, I'm essentially the "sucker" helping keep 0% rake while others don't do these side bets.

I'd much rather no one did side bets (unless they normally do them) and let WSEX figure out how much rake they really want to charge across the board later, like say, 1% with a $1 cap or something. That way all the players are supporting the reduced rake, not just a few suckers making side bets to help "support the cause".

It's +EV in that it keeps the no-rake around. I'd rather toss in a few bucks on a 55/45 bet than pay rake.

Depends entirely on what they move the rake to and how much you're betting.

All these folks excited about zero rakeback...then turn around and play -EV to get the site some effective rake. Huh? Just email and ask for a tiny rake then.

We can all support the site however we like.
A good example is the op who has not even signed up yet but is offering tips to make it work.I don't bet sports but I know many people that do who also like to indulge in a few hands of poker.Next time I meet up with them you can be sure I will be telling them about this site.

Yeah, i agree. I've been betting about 20% of the RB that i've gotten. And it's not like you HAVE to lose the bet. If we all make a few bets here and there, then they will consider the experiment successful and keep it around.

Their offer for Europe is unfortunately not very good, except the main soccer games, so I don't find many things interesting (those steriodnutheaddudes running around with a nonround ball in their hands pretending it is football do not interest me [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]).
