Default Paying time charges from your pocket

Last night I went to play some 1/2NL at soaring eagle in michigan. This has a $100 max buy in (gag). After sitting down and paying your first time charge ($6 per half hour )youre already down to $94. I therefore ask if I can pay my time charge out of my pocket (I happen to have a few $1s and $5s from the casino floor on me). Dealer says I'm not allowed to do this. What is the casino's reason for this rule?

Yes, you can pay out of pocket.

No, you should not be playing in this game.

EDIT: Wait, they said you CAN'T pay out of pocket? That's [censored] stupid.

maybe a good idea would be to buy $106 from the cashier, give the $6 time charge and then have my stack. ill try that next time.

It probably won't work. Most $100 buy in games have a rebuy cut of under $40 - so as soon as you hit $39 you can reload but not sooner. You can't keep juicing your stack everytime you go under $100.

An easy way to combat this... buy in for $45. Pay time, then reload for $100. You'll sit with $139 instead of $100.

That's a retarded rule. If you can buy-in for $100 there is no good reason you should not be able to bring your stack up to $100 at any time.

Everyone else is paying time out of their stacks, which means that they have fewer chips on the table. This is a disadvantage. In the fairness of the game, you should not be paying time out of your pocket.

For your first fee, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to "pay out of your pocket", since you can basically just tell the dealer you're rebuying for $6.

Time to hit the craps tables. This game is raping you worse than a member of the Duke lacrosse team.
