Default UB 50/100

Edit: Villains preflop stats were 41/27/2 consisting of 4-6 handed play.

Villain is overly LAG. Probably views me as tighter than I am b/c there were some loosies sitting earlier. I stacked him maybe 10 min ago when he reraised my button open and I smooth-called w/ AA. Got all-in on turn on Q774, 4 made flush and he check-called my all-in w/ QJ.

He's been 3-betting me pretty liberally and I'm expecting him to fold here PF or to a bet on the flop.

I like a smallish turn bet.

I think i check river as played, flop bet followed by turn CHECK followed by river bet is imho a huge sign of strength.

edit: typo

You could push on the turn. What hands are you scared of him having except for 9s overplayed preflop? Suited K9 or K7 can be ruled out. I guess what you did was check the turn to make it look like your flop bet was a steal, then made a value bet of say $7.5k or pushed on the river?

ya he checked because he thought he was behind.

i'd bet the end unless you think he'd bet a hand like QQ to try and get you off AA? Does he think you are that tight? I'm too afraid he checks QQ behind but would pay off a 3/4 pot or so bet with it.

There is no reason to check the turn because there is no reason to believe that you are behind, and no one is ever going to try and bluff you out on the turn. Your opponent likely holds another King or a pocket pair and if he is going to call off money, he will do it on the turn. Those saying to check the turn, and then bet the river are using bad logic. If he is calling on the river, then he is calling on the turn. No one checks the turn, then bluffs the river. Nothing changes by checking the turn, which is why it is a mistake.

I think I can now repeat my intial post:

You are in over your head. Stick to 10/20 NL.

Obviously, we aren't checking the turn because we think we're behind.

and no one is ever going to try and bluff you out on the turn.

This is simply not true.

Given your preflop action, you obviously have a hand. When you check the turn, you might as well type "I am trying to induce bluff" in the chat box.

It is very unlikely that he called the flop to bluff the turn. And if he has a flush draw, he is going to take the free card, and this is a huge pot.

Bet the turn again. Very simple hand.

Camus, he's not ever gonna cold call with a flushdraw on the flop if he's already decided never to bluff on turn.
