A hand from todays $30+3 on FT. Field was quite small - 60 participants and it was quite early. I had been active, playing some SC in LP with something like 30/20 on PAH.

Villain was Rags007, a good player, who knows what he is doing. He has been moved to our table 5 hands ago and it was the first hand he was in.

This limp reraise is almost always aa/kk and sometimes ak, so at best you're flipping. This is an easy fold for me.

if he just moved to your table, i'd guess he doesn't know anything about your active image... so it shouldn't be taken into account..

if he's a good player that knows what he's doing, i think folding is correct, although i would do it only if I had been playing good poker and push after a while thinking if on tilt or lacking patience.. lol

I saw 3 l/r PF yesterday... AJ, 88, 33.

I think people have started to use this play more liberally than when Doyle Brunson wrote SS. I shove it.

I have seen the same thing. Shove and if AA or KK you can say NH and pray for a suckout while you open the tourny schedule to register for the next one.

The interesting point on this hand is that UTG+1 had 2 limpers behind him.

Therefore I gave him a wider range for his 3-bet, than I would do if we were heads-up, as he has to kick out the limpers.

So the end of the story:

I typed in the chat-box "KK+?" and shoved - he turned over KK and I lost. Still I think the shove was correct on this situation imo.

This will almost always be QQ+ or AK.

If it was heads up, then shoving might be more correct. But in my experience players (especially decent players) tend not make these type of plays in a 4way field without a really good hand.

I agree Lev, his range is too wide to get away from this, I think I do what you did... nh.
