NL50 AA facing cr 3bet pot 200 bb deep
UTG opener is new to the table, main villain is BB, who is tangling a lot with SB, and the only read i have is, he is playing decent hands vs SB. Hero is TAG.
iPoker Skin 0.25/0.50, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker saw flop | saw showdown Button Hero ($99.50) SB ($48.40) 49/18/3 small sample BB ($71.75) 27/15/2 small sample UTG ($51.30) 17/13/3 UTG+1 ($67.25) Preflop: Hero is on the Button with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG raises to 1.75, 1 fold, Hero raises to 6.50, SB calls 6.25, BB calls 6.00, UTG folds. Yes I believe so because you only have one less pot sized bet left and I'm pretty sure BB's range include KK (edit: didn't mean to include this),AK,Kxcc. But then again, you don't see many people minraising without strong hands because they are basically saying, "lets try to get more money on the pot and I don't care if I get 3betted."

Easy push IMO. Flush draws and broadway draws (and TP) make up a huge part of his range versus sets, and he will call since he just put over 50% of his stack in the middle.

Im not sure he does this with KQo? He doesnt seem like a total idiot. Maybe JT of clubs too? |

Re: NL50 AA facing cr 3bet pot 200 bb deep
Raise more preflop, as it is you're giving them odds to stack you with low pp's and such. I try to raise to more than 10% of effective stacks in spots like this, when it's reasonable. Here, a raise to 9 gets you there, and doesn't seem out of line.
Note, that the low PP's weren't paying you off much anyway when they miss, so scaring them out isn't awful. And the hands that pay you off big (AK, JJ+) probably aren't quitting for a slightly bigger 3-bet, cause they'd be making it themselves if the situation was reversed. |
