Re: $3.40 BB junk
If you think you have a read on someone then it is best to go for it. At the very least in this situation (by calling) you get to find out if your read was right, and if you got your money in good. If you are wrong then you can learn a lesson from where you made a mistake (prehaps one example of villain doing this is not enough etc).

Re: $3.40 BB junk
Agree with above said, if you are confident about your read, stick with it.
Your variance will prolly increase, but your roi too. If you've been good in this very hand doesn't matter this much btw, try to figure out his range and whether you're good often enough against it |

Re: $3.40 BB junk
I can't see calling this ever.. he always at the very worst has 2 overs and he could have 3x, a PP or rarely a 5 all which beat you. Even with your read this is a pretty marginal spot at best IMO.

Re: $3.40 BB junk
Read or not I'm probably not putting to many chips in on this flop. Like Kevin said you're against two overs at BEST, which makes this an easy fold for me. You are ahead against a pure bluff, but that's all, and even then it's a 70-30.
With all of that said, I do think it's very important to trust your reads and make tough calls, but I like to have a little more than this so if I am right I don't get sucked out on often. |
