Tough spot late in 10$ single rebuy
MP2 had just become chipleader, I've played 55 hands with him and he was 30/28/infinite. I was in quite a few donkaments at the time, so that's about all I had to go on, other than one hand he raised K9o UTG and made a marginal call of a reshove.
22 people left, 7 handed. Do you think calling his 3 bet is best pre, since it's only 11.5k more, and we are both fairly deep, or 4 betting because his range is likely pretty wide (and I should have a fairly tight image)? What do you do on the flop once we've hit a piece?? You know, pre flop is one of those situations where i always wonder if i should be folding. I guess since he's such a spew tard you probably shouldn't fold.
Had you seen him make tiny raises like this before pre? If not i want to say c/f flop. If he'd been doing it a fair bit i want to say chk/shove. |

Re: Tough spot late in 10$ single rebuy
i think w ace 10 id just fold pre to the repop.its weak but i think its best ev move long run.too often we c/fold flop and when we dso continue we lose too often anyway. i would rather have j10s 78 or small pair. do we really love this flop?

Re: Tough spot late in 10$ single rebuy
Preflop is the toughest part of the hand. MP2's range is pretty wide so I like the call.
Flop- I would think we are ahead on the flop here more often than not, I dont like folding, but we are pot committed if we call the flop. Im shoving here. We have a tiny bit of FE and we are prob ahead vs this guy if he calls. |

Re: Tough spot late in 10$ single rebuy
If you have no other read I would also fold this preflop.
Main problem are (as often) stack-sizes. If you call his preflop 3-bet there is about 60k in the pot, leaving you about 70k left. So if you hit the flop you are committed (more or less). What flop would you like to hit (apart from KQJ). If you hit an ace - what is your play than - you'll have to shove in a situation where your hand is very likely only second best. If you hit the T like here it's nearly the same. So if you call this 3-bet you need to hit the flop very good, like 2 pair or better with the stack-sizes given. |
