I double click a song on iTunes, the icon says it's playing, but the slider does not move and the music does not play. I have restarted, reinstalled, updated Windows and iTunes, but it still isn't working. Is there any info I'm leaving out?

http://www.technipages.com/article252.html says:
[ QUOTE ] iTunes Won't Play Music Under Windows Vista A solution for when iTunes doesn't play your music after upgrading to Windows Vista. iTunes doesn't play songs properly under Windows Vista because of the way the software is written to access the registry. You must run iTunes as an administrator. 1. Right click on your iTunes shortcut and select Properties. 2. Click on the Compatibility tab. 3. Check the Run as an Administrator box and click OK. You can also use the iTunes Repair Tool available at Apple.com [/ QUOTE ] this will probably fix your error... otherwise you may be up a creek without a paddle: http://www.tuaw.com/2007/02/01/vista...nice-together/ |

if you're still stuck, it was determined that this error (for the most part) is caused by upgrading to the newest AIM (6.5 i think?). search for +vista +aim +"windows media player", i think, there's a thread on the microsoft support forums.
they have a workaround, but this problem still doesn't have a solution i think |
