Hand range probability
In a 10 handed hold em game is there a 49.7% chance that someone at the table holds one of these hands [AA-1010, AK AQ AJs] I derived that number by 10(66/1326)

Re: Hand range probability
Thats wrong because you're neglecting common events where two or more players hold the same types of cards .
For an approximation , you may work it out like this : The probability you're not dealt one of these hands is 1-66/1326 . Take this number to the tenth power to give you ~ 60% . Therefore the probability at least one player is dealt one of these cards should be 40% . |
