I bluffed the flop, should I float his raise?
Not any history, but I just didn't think villian would raise PF and then c/r the flop with an A or better. I expected a bet, or perhaps a c/c. When I got raised, I decided to call as a float becasue there are very few hands that I would have cc preflop and then 3bet on this flop. Do you like? Or do you just fold it?

Re: I bluffed the flop, should I float his raise?
No.
I think this is spew. Your preflop tells you don't have a strong ace. If villain has AJ+, he know's that he's only behind A8s and 88. If you wanna represent ace I suggest you check the flop and re-evaluate turn. It's definately a cheaper way. Your line isn't very consistent IMO. PS. I make sometimes artistic plays like this. Sometimes they're genius, but very often not. NL400 is beatable with ABC-basics. You don't have to reinvent poker to rake in huge profits. |

[/ QUOTE ] I agree PF indicates I dont have a big A, which I see as my only weakness in the line. fwiw, this is why i didnt 4bet the flop becasue I played it like a medium Ace, maybe AT or the like. However, I dont think villain ever takes this line with AJ+. I think he has air to 99-KK almost always here. I do agree this type of play is probably best left out of my game at this level, but once I made the bluff on the flop, his raise seemed so suspicious to me. |
