HU ace high on the river
Villain is 25/2/0.9 over 300 hands.
I limp first-in with As2s. Villain limps next and the blinds come along. The flop is 8sKs8h. The blinds check to me and I bet. Only villain calls. The turn is 6c. I bet and villain calls. The river is 4d. What should hero do? I think it's between check/call and check/fold. If I bet and villain calls, he will show me some pair. |

Re: HU ace high on the river
i c/f without a read. usually, though, when he has a busted draw he will just check behind and you will win. if he bets, i give him credit for something that beats 88AK6.

Re: HU ace high on the river
His aggro is low I would go with check/fold

Re: HU ace high on the river
Open limping with A2s doesn't sound that good.

Re: HU ace high on the river
I don't like open-limping preflop. What position are we in anyway?
I don't like the flop or turn bets in a limped pot. The pot's too small and the field's too large to force everybody off their hands with ace high, and our flush is only going to come in 35% of the time. On the river, I c/f. |

It's not strong enough to raise. I think the flop is a bet because no one might have hit that flop and we might be betting for value. |

grunch I fold preflop As played I would c/c the turn and c/f the river [/ QUOTE ] I think that all you accomplish with an c/c is to miss out on some folding equity. The scenario that he raises with an eight seem to be an ev neutral one. |
