AK hand from 2K live event
Hi, this hand is from Russian Championship of Poker 2K event.
28 players left, top 9 are paid. Blinds 400/800, our stack is 30K which is equal to average stack at the table. UTG raises to 2K, Hero reraises to 5.5K UTG+1 with AhKh, and got called by player on the button, who is unknown, but most probably is a fish, because Hero knows all good players by sight. Blinds fold, UTG raiser folds. Flop comes 5KQ, two clubs. Pot is 17K, Hero and Button both have 24k chips. Whats your play and why? __________________________________________________ __________ |

Re: AK hand from 2K live event
All in on the flop. You are pot committed with any bet, and if he is a fish, he may call you with middle pair or worse.
Next best is a check raise... if you think he will bet. All else is too transparent. |

Re: AK hand from 2K live event
Bet/call 9K. Unless fish is a total moron, he's going to know the flop hit your hand (or you have an overpair with AA), so the only thing checking accomplishes is letting him check behind and catch a free card to hit a set and bust you.

Re: AK hand from 2K live event
Bet call 8k, gives him more space to do something really dumb with AQ, TT etc.
