5/10 in the bellagio, full table, I've only just sat down I think its literally my 4th hand or something. Villain looks like a typical grinder; young/unshaven/headphones. 1000 effective.

I make it $50 utg+1 w/ AKo, 4 callers including SB (villain).

flop (250): KKQr

we all check.

turn (250): 2o

checks to me, I bet 130, folds to SB who makes it 300, I call.

river (850): 7

he shoves, I?


In retrospect I probably should of bet the flop as I'm most likely getting action from any Kx or Qx, anyway, thoughts?

id say this is an easy fold without any strong evidence to the contrary

I would definately bet the flop. As played call the river, but I probably don't feel fantastic about it any more.

Sick..I think the same thing would have happened if you bet the flop too though. I personally don't like the call on the turn, looks like a fold/shove there IMO, you put the bet out to see where you were, and you found out real fast, dump it...KQ ftw

I think I make a crying call on the river. Villain's line is kind of weird if he has KQ.. going for two checkraises and shoving the river. I can see 22 or 77 doing this, but I don't think he puts you on a K either given your flop check.

On the other hand, if there's no history and it's the 4th hand, this is a little less likely to be air.

I agree with others, definitely bet the flop though.

The thing that's getting me is that I'm not sure he gives you a K here.

Yeah, it's possible because of the way you slow played the flop. Maybe he thinks you have AQ and will call his KT ai--dunno, very difficult with no reads. Your slow play on the flop is likely a more serious error than whether you call the river now. If you had bet the flop, I think he'd be less inclined to bluff JT or shove KT--and thereby giving you an easier read.

As played, I suspect it's marginal positive or negative EV. Personally, I don't like to make high variance plays on highly speculative EV situations. Maybe it's nitty, but I'd like to get a little more information before I make this call--that way I can be more certain if the call is slightly positive or slightly negative EV. So, I think I'd fold.
