Blinds war - KQo SB
$0.50/$1.00
BB ($15.00) 16.38/7.77/2.59 - 1.9k hands - pretty solid TAG, steal (aatempt tpo steal 30%) and defend blinds (50% fold BB to steal) SB ($52.00) (Hero) Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+2 raises</font>, Hero calls, Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ( 3BB ) Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+2 bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+2 raises</font>, Hero calls, Flop is quite ragged so I decide to semi bluff with good hand and raise. Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ( 6BB ) Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+2 bets</font>, Hero calls, Here I assume that its blind war and villain could re-raise PF with bigger pocets 66+ or even bigger ace like A9s+ so I assume that can count my overcards like 5 outs (to many?) and make marginal call getting 7:1. River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ( 8BB ) Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+2 bets</font>, Hero calls, Ok i hit my Queen so now what? I thought about raise/fold cus he would call often with any better made hand like medium pocet but I just called. Final Pot: 9.35BB Do u see any leaks? |

Re: Blinds war - KQo SB
I don't like the flop CR so much. Unless he was bluffing pf (and then u prefer him continue bluffing) he won't fold anything that beats u.
Turn is marginal, I think we can fold. River I assume we are ahead and CR sounds good. |

Re: Blinds war - KQo SB
Against a foldy kind of guy I cap preflop
Flop is terrible IMO What Ax is in his PF 3-bet range and how many of those do you think he is folding on this flop? Turn is prolly a fold. You are up against a pretty narrow range of better hands and have 6 outs far from always I think I bet/fold river to get value from lower pp's. You misplayed all 4 streets IMO |

thx for pain truth
im just starting learn how to play blinds war. After thinking i see that flop raise sucks. Turn i was thinking about call or fold but giving the acction fold is probably much better |

Re: Blinds war - KQo SB
To be honest I only hate the flop and to a little less extend the river.
Preflop is ok. Capping is only something you should do if his 3-betting range is fairly wide or if it improves your implied folding equity. I dont hate the turn either. But it depends on how often you think he 3-bets the flop with a good A and how many lower pp's is in his range. Its close but if his range is wide enough and if you play the river well its prolly ok. River is a must donk IMO. This guys is checking behind lower pairs a lot but calls a bet with them. So when he bets your eq is not near good enough to raise. Check/raise/call this river is as bad as raising 72o UTG |

Re: Blinds war - KQo SB
*grunch*
I like the flop...I might cap against SB. I lead on Flop.. I call raise. Don't like the C/R. Is C/R'ing overpair here standard. Turn: As played C/C or C/F. River B/C. Would B/C each street be wrong in this hand? |

grunch
I wouldn't c/r the flop. I would have folded the turn with just K high. As played I'd raise the river and I would die a little inside when he 3 bets |

This says BB but the LRR was from UTG+1 |

BB ($15.00) 16.38/7.77/2.59 - 1.9k hands - pretty solid TAG, steal (aatempt tpo steal 30%) and defend blinds (50% fold BB to steal) [/ QUOTE ] Is this fishmax? Are these 1.9k hands of fishmax? If so, he's a nit and you picked a good spot to try to steal (you should attempt to steal from this guy with 100% of your hands), but when he treys pf you're in a lot of trouble. (I assume that the hand identified as UTG+2 is actually the big blind?) Depending on refining the read, I think you can safely c/f the flop. c/r'ing as a semi-bluff is spew, and when he treys again you're even more screwed than before, if that's possible. Fold the turn. Crying call the river, but you lose. [ QUOTE ] Do you see any leaks? [/ QUOTE ] This hand, and any like it. (Edit 2: <- this is a little harsh. My point is that you have a strong read on this guy, even if it's datamined or whatever, and you seem to have completely disregarded it in playing the hand. Edit: b/f'ing this river is ridiculous, if for no other reason than you should never have SEEN this river. You pulled ahead of nothing except AK/AJ (which he would probably fold to a bet), held by a player this nitty, and AK/AJ have to be strongly discounted after the flop action; he folds half his BB hands to any steal, if anything he's going to be even tighter against a steal from the SB. |
