Default Beat: I\'m addicted to Chew

So I'm currently a junior in college and started casual taking dips with my buddies last year. what started out as a casual dip turned into a full blown addiction. All I can think about when getting out of class is throwin a fat chaw in my mouth. I really want to stop although I know any serious damage won't happen for a few years, but I want to nip this in the bud ASAP. any tips or advice from people who were addicted and stopped. Thanks

Cancer is a myth, a sweet sweet dip between your lip and gums is gods way of saying he loves you.

I've been dipping every day for the past 2 years, I have a really hard time playing online without having one in. I've quit for about 2 months at one point, couldn't do it cold turkey at all so I bought a pack of nicorette (sp) gum which helped a whooole lot. But started up again when around my buddies that did it too. My advice? Either give in to the sweet nectar of nicotine, or buy yourself some nicorette and attempt to quit. GL BUDDY. Dip > cancer yo.

Thats why I play a joke and put in a big fat one right before a steamy juicy makeout session.

Chewed for about 11 years, quit about 6 months ago. Was on a 4 tin a week habit for about 5 years.

2 things helped me quit. First, my body told me when to quit. Wait until your gums feel like they are on fire and you can't take it anymore. That's fun. Also wait for the white spots to show up. That was enough for me.

Upon a friends request I also went and spoke to some people with mouth and throat cancer in a hospital. If that doesn't scare you straight, then you are done.

To all that Chew and want to stop I strongly suggest the latter. It was pretty powerful and really helped my quit.

I used to dip regularly for about a year. Then one day out of nowhere it started making me sick. I have only dipped occasionally since then and each time it makes me feel like I am going to yack. I guess I got lucky, although there was nothing in the world better then getting back from class, turning on espn, and enjoying a nice fat dip.
