Party 50nl; combo draw turn decision
Villian is 54/11/.5 only 30 hands. Somewhat of a calling station, called down two bets with a weak middle pair on a drawy board earlier in the session.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) MP ($49.25) CO ($41.96) Hero ($49.25) SB ($59.02) BB ($47.12) UTG ($52.52) Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 3 folds, Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, BB calls $1.50. In these spots, with strong combo draws that don't hit on the turn, should I be putting in another bet here as a semibluff/value bet? How does this change against a more straight foward opponent who is not so much of a calling station like the villian in this hand? |

Eh, check against station IMO. Against most other types I am betting. You should get paid off either way so take free card.

Re: Party 50nl; combo draw turn decision
Yeah, against unknown or reasonable players I bet this, but I check behind against someone with these stats, even only over 30 hands or whatever. As you pointed out, you arent even folding out 2nd pair, and you are probably getting paid on the river if you hit regardless. Take the free card cause you have approx 0 FE.
