Default How would you play this? (Stud high)

The villain here I have tagged as a fish. I put the raise in on 3rd street hoping to knock out the bring in and my strategy was to play it fast to loose any other stragglers (unless they developed a scary board). How would any of you play this hand?

I would bet the river for value against a known sucker. Against a tricky or good player I would check behind. Your hand is pretty obvious, so either he whiffed or he's a dumbass, and I like to let dumbasses call bets.

I know players who raise pf with draws, buried small pairs with a scare card etc. Villain prolly thinks you did this and continue betting with two small pairs or just sixes. OR he's a fish. OR he has a higher buried pair. OR he hit trips. Nevertheless betting river is EV+ as the previous poster also stated.

steve = electrical (not nina lol) I assume?

Anyways, this looks standard to me up until the river. This guy will absolutely call with a worse two pair, and tbh I wouldn't be surprised if he has some sort of busted straight draw and called the river anyways with just his nines. There's value there, and this guy is so likely to just come out betting if he hit his hand, so I don't think there's a ton of downside to betting. I wouldn't be that shocked if he called with *just* his nines, either.

electrical = Steve Albini, proprietor of Electrical Audio. He's moderately famous as a musician and recording engineer:

Ask him about Urge Overkill some time.
