are you wondering about the turn or river or both?

I would probably 3bet...but I call sometimes too. I feel ahead of his range for havng an 8. I would expect him to have 87/98/108 and so on before he has A8 or K8. The problem is that 55 is in his range too and this is probably exactly how he would play it...not that he wouldn't play a worse 8 that way.

I guess what I am saying is that I can't put him on a hand that isn't an 8, so imo he is never checking behind on the river. If you dont want to get it all in then c/c river...unless he makes some stupid bet like 6...then cr.

I feel like not 3betting the turn is burning money. So I raised to $11. Think I should have probably c/c the river. I don't know.

I call, he occasionally does this with a king probably because he is terrible and he also has worse kickers with his 8 more times the not

I play it the same and snap call river. With those stats I think you want to be playing for stacks. He does this with any 8, and you're only losing to 55 and 8K (I don't think even 45 VPIPs limp 85 UTG, but I could be wrong). Heck, if he's bad enough you might even see AK.

If you had like 78 this would be a lot closer and I might lean towards fold, but you probably wouldn't have 3-bet turn with that. As it is, you're way ahead of his range.

Ye 78 I would never do this. I just figured I am ahead of almost all the 8s he can have.

Snap call river, lose to 55. Standard.

But seriously; I call and expect to see a worse 8 most of the time.
