Two software firewall?
I can't use a router any more and now have to rely on software firewalls. I'd like to use Sygate because it promts me so seldom so I know exactly what to let through and what not to let through. I'm considering adding Zone Alarm Pro because I fear that Sygate isn't enough protection now when I don't have a routers since the last update to Sygate was 1995. ZoneAlarm promts me alot more though and the result of that is that I stop knowing what I should let through and what I shouldn't. That's why I'd like to use both firewalls.
Would using both firewalls work well? Or would there be conflicts between them? Thanks for the help |

Re: Two software firewall?
1) You should always use a router because of NAT.
2) Do not try to use two software firewalls at the same time. |

Re: Two software firewall?
no... multiple good firewalls would probably interfere with each other unless otherwise mentioned from what I've experienced...
Just chose one good one and stick with it and it once it learns what programs to allow and disallow it should seldom prompt you: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...umber=12195059 |

Re: Two software firewall?
Thanks people. I have went with Zone Alarm. It wasn't as much hassle as I had thought it would be .
The reason I can't use my normal router is that I switched to mobile broadband as of today ^^. It's awesome. Only $15/month no startup cost and I can use it on the tram, in school, everywhere. |
