Kentucky runs the ball well, and this appears to be USCs biggest weakness. I will not have money on this game, but I would lean towards UK

I had this pegged as South Carolina -5, and didn't play it because of the whole "65% road SEC cover" phenomenon.

Kentucky was a team I pegged to fade, because they had every sign of being a letdown team this year. Positive side of variance and turnovers in 2006, a +2 in close games last year, and a defense that couldn't tackle an infant. But yet, here they are, 5-0.

I'm on UK +4, but it's probably the pick I'm least confident of this week. I don't think either team will stop the other.

Thinking USC's atmosphere will be more intimidating than usual on a Thursday night. But I still like UK at +4.

Also, line appears to be moving to 3.5 now.
I got UK at +4, -115.

Do you think the line is skewered by the fact all anyone on ESPN talks about is Andre Woodson?

Line in Vegas sportsbooks (local joints..not strip casinos)...3.5

I few beginner Observations;

Both teams are on equally short rest so the deeper team gets a greater than normal advantage in the 4th quarter. I look for the gamecocks to score at will late if they happen to get behind and if there is one thing we know for sure it’s that Steve will flat lay the wood to KY if given even half a chance.

The KY QB looked great against the lame Hogs weak d secondary but they made Bama’s John Parker Wilson look like an All American.

I think the gamecocks hold KY under 30 for the first time this year and we’re looking at maybe 38-28.

SC -3.5 2 units

Adding Kentucky ML +169 to win 1 unit. I really don't see Kentucky going down in flames tonight like I have heard some people suggest. It's hard to discount their Louisville and Arkansas wins despite what those teams have done in other games. (Maybe I have too much respect for Arkansas since they always give Auburn trouble.) I think Kentucky wins 2 times out of 5.
